Honey Bee Stamps Mugs & Kisses Christmas

Today I created a card for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge. The theme this month is use hearts.

Altenew Organic Linen 3D embossing folder

To start off my card I embossed the background which is hard to see in the photo.

For the mugs I lightly inked paper and then used a stencil to go over that with a heavier hand.  Then I die cut the mugs. The hearts are also die cut.

The sentiment is die cut from metallic kraft-stock paper.

Entered over at the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge for February.

Supplies:

    • Altenew 3D embossing folder – Organic Linen
    • Honey Bee Stamps Mugs & Kisses die set
    • Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft-Stock paper
    • Distress Oxide ink
    • My Favorite Things die – Merry Christmas

Elizabeth Craft Designs Mug Christmas Card

I used the fun Elizabeth Warm Winter Mug again! I like that it is big and the mug is the standout on a card. It has a couple fun patterns for the mug, candy canes, cinnamon sticks, gingerbread man, snowflake, coffee beans and a few other things. Just all kinds of fun!

Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners

I made the background using an embossing folder and then inked with Pumice Stone Distress Oxide.

The mug is cut from Elizabeth Craft Designs paper and Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft-Stock. All of the items in the mug (from ECD) and the sentiment banner are all die cut. The foam on the coffee/hot chocolate and the banner is edged with the Pumice Stone Oxide ink.

The sentiment is stamped using a Hero Arts My Monthly Hero set from November 2022.

Entered over at the Caffeinated Christmas Card challenge 21 for September. The theme is include candy and/or cookies.

Supplies:

    • Elizabeth Craft Designs Warm Winter Mug
    • Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners
    • Darice Stripe embossing folder
    • Hero Arts November 2022 My Monthly Hero kit
    • Distress Oxide ink
    • Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft-Stock
    • Elizabeth Craft Designs Reminiscence paper

Elizabeth Craft Designs Christmas Card

I got a Christmas card done and used a die I wanted for a long time and finally got. It is the Elizabeth Craft Designs Warm Winter Mug. I am entering it over at the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge. The theme is stars this month. There is a few more days to create!

My Favorite Things Merry Christmas die

For the background I used some fab Elizabeth Craft Designs Worn Wood paper.

The mug is die cut using the Warm Winter Mug ECD die along with the stars which are from ECD die set Sidekick Essentials 25 – December Day-By-Day . It might be hard to tell but I cut the stars and the sentiment from silver and gold Tim Holtz Metallic Kraftstock.

The sentiment is a die from My Favorite Things called Merry Christmas.

Here is where the fun challenge is.

Honey Bee Stamps Mugs & Kisses Christmas Card

Here is a card that I was making for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers hop. It didn’t quite make it but I also had the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge #11 in mind too.

Penny Black Happy Holly Days

So… about the background on my card. It was an interesting and kind of accidental thing. First I sprayed several colors of green Distress Mica Stains on some paper. I will say this about the Mica Stains…. I love the colors and the mica shimmer. However I am not a fan of the splotchy sprayed look. So my panel looked awesome but a bit to much of the splotchy look so I inked over it using some Distress Oxide inks. It still was not looking how I wanted. I took a wet wipe and wiped over it. You can tell that now that you know. The shimmer doesn’t show in the photo but it is there and I love how it turned out. Know that there are many ways to use the Mica Stains and they are awesome. I like smooshing and you can paint with them.

Are you still with me? Ha. The rest is straight forward. I die cut the mugs (a very cool set with the two mugs with the handles in different directions) from some really pretty holly paper and then die cut the whipped cream, coffee and steam. Also the sentiment is die cut.

I am super pleased with how this card came out and that background looks pretty darn cool in person. We know sometimes the photos just don’t say it all.

Entered over at the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge. You still have a few days to enter this challenge.

Supplies

  • Distress Mica Stains
  • Distress Oxide ink
  • Honey Bee Stamps Mugs & Kisses die set
  • Penny Black Happy Holly Days die set

Hero Arts Coffee Christmas

Today I have a interesting themed card for the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge for April. The challenge is coffee, Christmas and rainbow. Kind of a challenge for a Christmas card for me anyway.

Here is what I came up with using the Hero Arts August 2018 My Monthly Hero card kit. It is a good one, full of coffee stuff!

Ciao Bella Coffee Stains

For the background I ink blended using Distress Oxide ink. I then used a coffee stains stencil over that also using Distress Oxide ink.

The coffee cups were cut out using the dies from the Hero Arts MMH set and I inked around the edges using you guessed it Distress Oxide ink. Merry was die cut using a Momenta die set and Christmas was die cut using a MFT die.

Supplies:

  • Ciao Bella Coffee Stains stencil
  • Momenta Alphabet dies
  • Distress Oxide ink
  • MFT Merry Christmas die
  • Hero Arts August 2018 My Monthly Hero
