And another one for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers hop. I might of broken a record this time.
Here is a card I made with a stamp set that I got Tuesday at Creative Escape in Los Gatos, CA. They have so many great things to choose from! Very well stocked.
It is a stamp set by Polkadoodles which has several really cute gnome stamps. Gnomes, mushrooms and coffee what is not to love! Technically it is called Gnome for Tea but I think anything can go in that cup, coffee, tea, hot chocolate or even water (not as much fun).
I stamped the image and colored it in with Copics.
I layered up some papers from my stash and the image is raised up with foam.
Here is another card for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers hop.
I created the background using alcohol ink on glossy alcohol ink paper. It is a couple of browns and the Alloy Gilded. I was very pleased how this came out and it looks better in person. I may add another photo…
I stamped and heat embossed the coffee cups.
The sentiment was die cut.
Here are some better photos of that nice alcohol ink. These are much more like the real colors in person.
Hello! I finally got a coffee card done. I created it for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Hop.
I created my card using the cute Preston coffee owl stamp from Rubbernecker Stamps. I won 3 coffee owl stamps and this guy hasn’t been used. Time to get that going on.
The idea just popped in my head to having him balancing on a coffee cup. Who knows where these things come from… ha. Maybe a little quirky.
For the background I stamped Preston and then I used Distress Oxide ink over a stencil. I wanted to pop up Preston but I needed to stamp him on the background to get his legs, the coffee steam and feathers sticking up on his head. I wasn’t going to hand cut those out.
I stamped Preston on another piece of paper colored him with Copics. I then cut him out by hand and glued him over the stamped image on the background using foam tape.
The coffee cup is die cut and then a die was used to cut out the design on the cup. The cup itself is teal but kind of looks green in the photo. I colored in the design using a Copic pen. The cup was already glued down when I decided to stencil the background so I made a mask to cover the cup while inking over the stencil.
Hello! It is here again, the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Today I have a non traditional color Christmas card I created for the hop and for the sketch in the Facebook Group Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers.
Miss Ink Stamps make the cutest gnomes and some are coffee gnomes. I am not sure it gets any better than that.
I colored the two gnomes with Copics. I cut the gnomes out by hand. The top of the lid of the coffee pot has clear Nuvo on it which is hard to see. The female gnome has silver Nuvo on the dots and in the middle of the flowers. The cups are silver and the other is gold and silver. It is hard to tell that in the photo.
The circle behind them is embossed with a snowflake die, sprayed with shimmer mist and then the circle cut out.
Here I am with another card for the fun Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop put on by Coffee Loving Cardmakers.
For this card I used a digital image. The image is called CoffeeBEE2. Unfortunately I did not label it with the company or person who designed it so if anyone knows please let me know.
First of all I sized the image and printed it on Neenah Desert Storm paper. I recently saw a nice card colored with pencils on kraft and it reminded me to get out my pencils since I really like the look. So this is colored with Prismacolor pencils. When I get done coloring I usually go back over the black lines since I like them vibrant.
Howdy, it is that fun time again. That would be the Coffee Lovers Hop!
I created this card for the hop using a Rubbernecker Stamps set, Gina Marie Designs stencil and a Spellbinders die.
For the background I used a stencil and did some ink blending thru it.
The stack of cups was stamped and colored with Copic Markers. The funny thing is I had a completely different stack of cups as far as coloring and it was just to much so I stamped again and colored these to match the background. This panel and mat is raised using fun foam.
The sentiment was die cut twice for some dimension. I took an ink pad direct to paper before die cutting and I also went over it ink pad direct to paper after to make it darker in color.
Hello! Here I am with another coffee card. I started it for the 2019 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop but I started it way to late so it didn’t make it to the hop. The cool thing is I made another card which is always fun.
I love the coffee owls by Rubbernecker Stamps. I was lucky to win 3 of them from one of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers hops.
This owl is Stokes and I stamped him on the die cut rectangle and colored him with Copics. One of the mats is cut with a die and the other just with the paper trimmer and then I used a corner rounder. Sometimes what looks like a simple card takes some time when you have to find the perfect papers! The background paper is something I have had around for quite awhile in a coffee paper folder. You can’t really tell but there is a large steam pattern all over it.
The sentiment is stamped with Versafine Onyx black which is one of my very favorite black inks when you want nice and bold.
Howdy! I made this card for the 2019 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Unfortunately the clock ended early so this did not make it in.
I used a digital image from Stamplorations which I think was a freebie from them which is so nice of them. I love that it is a nice festive Christmas coffee image.
I opened the digital image in Word and sized it for the card. I like using Word if I can since there is a ruler. I like all the things around the cup! I colored everything with Copics. I added a bit of puff embossing powder on the coffee. The snowflakes have some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer on them which doesn’t really show in the photo. I added the snowflakes to the cup using white pigment ink.
The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink stamp set.
The two patterned papers are from the same paper pad.
There is a layer of fun foam under the die cut mats.
Papertrey Ink stamp set – Deck the Halls – sentiment
Stamplorations Digital Image – A Cup for the Holidays
Freebie in a Crafty Magazine – Winter Wonderland stamp set – snowflakes
When thinking about what I could create I pulled out this fun Rubbernecker Stamp set. When I saw the cat I decided to create a card for a friend who has two cats. I love it when you start out not really knowing what to make and then the ideas start flowing.
I die cut the tag and stamped the cats and colored them with Copics. One has silver on the scarf fringe and the coffee cup and the other gold. I added the washi tape to ground the cats. Then sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set.
Then I dug around in my stash to find some fun papers. The red is a sparkly paper not glitter paper really. The plaid is from a paper pad.
