Rubbernecker Stamps Coffee Blanket

Howdy! The fun is happening again! It is the 2019 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Check it out and join in. Today is the last day.

When thinking about what I could create I pulled out this fun Rubbernecker Stamp set. When I saw the cat I decided to create a card for a friend who has two cats. I love it when you start out not really knowing what to make and then the ideas start flowing.

I die cut the tag and stamped the cats and colored them with Copics. One has silver on the scarf fringe and the coffee cup and the other gold. I added the washi tape to ground the cats. Then sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp set.

Then I dug around in my stash to find some fun papers. The red is a sparkly paper not glitter paper really. The plaid is from a paper pad.

Supplies:

  • Rubbernecker Stamps – Coffee Blanket stamp set
  • Copic Pens
  • Simon Says Stamp – Retro Christmas stamp set
  • Wink of Stella Pens – gold and silver
  • Washi Tape
  • DCWV Mat Stack – Very Merry
  • Bakers Twine
  • Stamp of Approval – Tags, Etc. Dies set

Santa

Santa

My inspiration was Merry Monday Challenge #266 which was Santa. When will I learn not to wait to the last minute. While trying to post Inlinkz was hung up so it did not make it. I am trying to just let it go and remember I made another Christmas card. The washi tape in the middle is two narrow pieces side by side. It is gold but kind of hard to see that in the photo. Santa is colored with Copics. I went over Santas’s cuffs and trim areas with Wink of Stella.

Background papers – Graphic 45 paper pad

Washi Tape – probably from Hobby Lobby

Spellbinders dies – Classic Scalloped Ovals (S4-111) and Classic Ovals Large (S4-110)

Santa – Art Impressions set Holly Jolly set.

Hero Arts Scramble 147

Betty’s theme today is create a card with the colors GOLD AND BLACK and the theme of LOVE. It can be a valentine, anniversary, wedding or any other occasion that works. White, cream or other neutrals are fine with the two main colors. For these Scrambles you need to use Hero Arts images, dies, embossing folders or stencils. You have 90 minutes to create your card or project. Betty did a 24 hour Scramble which is nice so we see more people creating.  In this case you select a 90 minute time frame that works for you.

It is funny when I started I thought that is a challenging theme. And look what happened. Two were created during the Scramble and the other one after. That is the great thing about the Scrambles. Someone comes up with a theme and it gets you thinking in a way you might not normally. I also really enjoy seeing what others come up with.
