Coffee BEE 2 with Colored Pencils

Here I am with another card for the fun Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop put on by Coffee Loving Cardmakers.

For this card I used a digital image. The image is called CoffeeBEE2. Unfortunately I did not label it with the company or person who designed it so if anyone knows please let me know.

First of all I sized the image and printed it on Neenah Desert Storm paper. I recently saw a nice card colored with pencils on kraft and it reminded me to get out my pencils since I really like the look. So this is colored with Prismacolor pencils. When I get done coloring I usually go back over the black lines since I like them vibrant.

The sentiment is stamped.

Supplies:

  • CoffeeBEE2 digital stamp
  • The Ton Hug in a Mug stamp set
  • Prismacolor Pencils
  • Versafine Oynx Black Ink

The Ton Rose Terrace & Heat Embossing

Hellooo! Here is another card I made with a background I colored many moons ago and just didn’t know what I wanted to do with it. I think for me when I have a cool background I don’t want to cover it up or cut it up. So I struggle a bit. Now it is a card!

Elizabeth Craft Designs Happy Birthday

So after having this sit for so long I am really happy with the way it turned out.

I heat embossed the image I think using rose gold embossing powder. I colored with Copics. I made one little boo boo on the coloring but luckily it was on the edge and when I cut the panel down it got cut off. The sentiment was die cut using the same paper as the mat behind the panel.

Supplies:

  • The Ton Rose Terrace background stamp
  • Elizabeth Craft Designs Happy Birthday Die
  • Copic Pens
  • Stampendous Rose Gold Embossing Enamel

Time for Cocoa

Time for Cocoa

The inspiration for this card was Merry Monday Challenge #263.
I did not enter this card but the cocoa in the jar, the wood grain, plaid and branches were the things I pulled from the inspiration photo seen above that was the theme for the challenge. It is a very cool cocoa bar scene.

The background is stamped with a woodgrain background stamp on kraft.

The branches are cut using my Silhouette Cameo. I inked them up with some Oxide Distress ink.

The cocoa jar was stamped and embossed with gold on vellum. I hand cut out the jar. I colored the back of the vellum with a brown Copic to look like cocoa powder. I hand wrote cocoa. I then cut another jar out of white paper to back the jar so the dots on the background didn’t show through. It doesn’t quite look how I thought it would but here it is.

The cup was heat embossed on patterned paper and hand cut. I colored the top part to look like there was cocoa in the cup.

Background stamp – Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain (S5208)

Cocoa jar – Avocado Arts Sweet Treat Sweetie.

Branches – Silhouette Cameo cut file

The cocoa cup – from a set by The Ton called Tea Party.

Patterned paper – Pink Paislee 6X6 paper pad.
