Local King Rubber Stamp Poppy 2

Here we go with a card I created way earlier this month. Lisa from Local King Rubber Stamp is doing a fun thing where you send her a card and she will send one back. You need to use one of her stamps to be shown on the card reveal videos. No problem for me I have several of the stamps by Local King Rubber Stamp.

For this card I created the background by stamping with the outline stamp that comes in the set.

For the poppies I colored on the stamps with the Local King markers and stamped. They show a lot of the stamp coloring during their demos. The paper I stamped on is glossy. I also did some ink blending for the background with distress ink and did a little water splattering.

The sentiment is stamped.

Supplies:

  • Local King Rubber Stamp Poppy 2
  • Local King Rubber Stamp Markers
  • Hero Arts Everyday Sayings stamp set
  • Distress Ink

Local King Rubber Stamp Under the Sea

How about some fish for today? I made two Father’s Day Cards with the great looking fish from Local King Rubber Stamp.

Tim Holtz Bubbles Stencil

Entered over at Love Handmade Cards in Flickr for the July Challenge.

I made this card for my Dad for Fathers Day. I love all the fish, octopus and jelly fish in this set and there are matching dies. I colored the stamps with water based pens and then stamped them on glossy paper. I used the matching dies to cut them out.

The background – I smooshed both Distress and Distress Oxide inks on the panel. I used an embossing ink dauber to apply the embossing ink thru a stencil and then sprinkled with Broken China embossing glaze. Then heat embossed.

Here is a look at the panel before I added the fish. I like the look a lot.

Distress Oxide ink

Now for the one I made for my hubby for Fathers Day.

Tim Holtz Bubbles Stencil

This is close to the same as above but I used a little bit different color combo on the background but I did use Distress and Distress Oxide inks. For the stenciling I used an ink blending tool to apply the embossing ink and then also used Broken China Embossing Glaze.

The fish are the same as above.

The sentiment is stamped on the background.

A look at this panel before the fish were added.

Local King Rubber Stamp Vintage Rambler

Hello! Today I have a card that I created for my Dad. I won this stamp and die set. Lucky me!

I am going to start off saying thanks to Local King Rubber Stamp for this prize. Also I like that they have some interesting and a little bit different types of things and techniques so check them out. Lisa is a great artist and has many videos explaining her products.

There is a two piece die and a stamp in the set. One die cuts out the mirror outline along with the car and mountain and the other die cuts out the shadow/mat.

This is the die cut using the main image die. I cut one of these out of shiny silver and one from glossy white paper (after stamping the image on it). I glued the shiny silver die cut to the shadow/mat piece shown below.

This is the die cut from the shadow/mat die. I cut one of these out of white cardstock and ink blended it for the day time sky/background. The whole image shiny silver die cut was glued to this piece.

I colored the matching stamp with the Local King water based markers and stamped on glossy paper.  Then I cut the car, mountain and mirror outline out of the glossy paper which is really the only way to cut all that out with the one die. I cut the car away from the mirror outline along with the mountain and glued them on top of the shiny silver die.

I hope this makes sense. Sometimes explaining confuses things and someone else may take a different approach. Anyway it is a cool set.

I drew the birds by hand.

The sentiment is die cut and colored to go with the blue on the car.

The black panel is embossed in a folder.

Supplies:

  • Local King Rubber Stamp – Vintage Rambler stamp & die set
