Watercoloring with Hero Arts Artistic Dahlia

I am on a roll again in June. Several birthdays to make cards for.

Papertrey Ink Harlequin Cover Plate Die

For the background I used a cover plate die and then glued the die cut over a white card base.

I stamped the dahlia on watercolor paper and used Hero Arts liquid watercolors to color it. Then used the die to cut it out. Next time I want to try stamping the flower several times and coloring since the die has several pieces so you can layer the flower.

The sentiment is die cut.

Supplies:

  • Hero Arts Artistic Dahlia wood block stamp
  • Hero Arts Artistic Dahlia die set
  • Cas-ual Fridays Catherine Pooler die set
  • Papertrey Ink Cover Plate Harlequin die
  • Hero Arts Liquid Watercolors

Hero Arts Tropical Flowers Hello Card

Howdy! How are you all out there? Some challenging times going on right now! I have a tropical flower card to bring a little brightness to your day.

Papertrey Ink Cover Plate Harlequin Die

For the background I die cut a cover plate. I decided for this card I would leave all the pieces in the die cut. A couple pieces fell out so I put them back in and then put a piece of Press’n Seal over the top. I then applied glue all over the back and glued it to a card front. I left the Press’n Seal on there for quite awhile.

The flowers and leaves I stamped, die cut and then sprayed Shimmer Spritz on them.

The hello is also die cut.

Supplies:

  • Papertrey Ink Cover Plate Harlequin Die
  • Hero Arts Tropical Flowers Stamp Set and Die Set
  • Sheer Shimmer Spritz
  • Papertrey Ink Wet Paint Cuts Die Set

Papertrey Ink Deck the Halls Stamping

Yeah another Christmas card done! This was a fairly quick one. I am finally using this set after having it a few years. I got it in a box of destash stuff.

This is a fairly quick card with just some stamping. I kept passing this set by because of the smaller images which I sometimes struggle with using. I actually used a layout on the packaging and I am really happy with the way it came out. It kind of looks like a store bought card from a box of cards. And that is ok! Anyway on to the steps.

I just got out the inks I really like for the different colors and stamped. As you can probably figure out the little sprigs on the wreaths that are in red are separate and slightly out of line.

Supplies:

  • Papertrey Ink Deck the Halls stamp set
  • Delicata Golden Glitz Pigment ink (love this gold)
  • Vivid! Vintage Green ink
  • Hero Arts Royal Red ink
