Howdy! Here’s the two Fathers Day Cards I made. One for my Dad who just turned 90 and one for my hubby. My hubby has been a great Dad to my son.
The first one is the one I made for my Dad. He liked to sail so I thought the ocean scene would be nice.
For the background I did a few layers of Oxide Distress ink letting them dry in between on watercolor paper. I cut out the reef border using a Hero Arts die.
The fish were fun… I used a piece of Ranger Silver Sparkle Alcohol Ink Cardstock and put some alcohol ink on it. It comes out so cool with such a nice shimmer. Then I die cut a couple of the fish from one of the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero sets.
For the sentiment I used a Hero Arts stamp set and a Hero Arts Ombre ink pad.

Here is the card I made for my hubby. He uses the two coffee makers on the card to make coffee. One is a french press and the other is a moka pot. We love Tahoe and he has a black mug with a bit of a scene on it and it says Lake Tahoe. I tried drawing the scene on there but it just wasn’t working so I just decided to write the Lake Tahoe part.
For this card I made the background somehow. Ha. It’s probably just some watercolor put on simply or Distress ink. I added the coffee rings using a stencil.
I die cut a couple of rectangles with a die with double stitching.
The mug, french press and moka pot are stamped and heat embossed. I colored them with Copics. The mug sits up a little higher with foam tape under it.
The sentiment is heat embossed using brown embossing powder.
