Howdy! I have a card with some die cut flowers today to lighten up the cold, rainy and in some places snowy winter days.
I started out by putting down some watercolors on watercolor paper using a little set my husband gave me for Christmas. So this little watercolor set (Koi Watercolors) is a fun travel type set with 8 fluorescent, 4 metallic and 12 pearlescent colors. It’s a fun one! Most of the flowers have a pearly shimmer but it is hard to see in the photo. Next I stamped several of the flowers and leaves from the Flowers for Coloring stamp set over the watercolor areas using Versamark ink & Hero Arts white embossing powder. I used the matching Flowers for Coloring die set to cut them out.
I then dry embossed a panel using a Sizzix embossing folder. That was glued to the card base.
The sentiment was stamped with Versamark & heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I die cut this out using the matching dies.
I layered up the flowers and leaves and glued them down along with the sentiment.
Another idea for these flowers, would be to stamp over patterned paper and die cut or hand cut them out.
There’s still time to create a card for the a2z Scrapbooking January challenge Anything Goes.

Howdy! I have a couple of cards full of flowers for you today. Who doesn’t love flowers, I know I do. The Hero Arts stamp set Flowers for Coloring has so many fun flowers and there are so many things you can do with it. I have one card I colored with Copics and one I used watercolor pencils.
To start off I took the entire set and left all the stamps from the Flowers For Coloring set right on the sheet they come on. I inked them up with some Memento Tuxedo black ink and stamped them on to some Neenah paper. Then I had fun coloring all the flowers and leaves with some fun colors. They are a little brighter in person. I used only two different color Copics for every one of the flower centers. Also for the flower centers I added Nuvo Crystal Clear Drops. I mounted the panel onto a black background.
For the sentiment I stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed it using Hero Arts white embossing powder. The sentiment is part of Hero Arts set It’s Your Day. The banner was cut using a Lawn Fawn die. The sentiment is popped up with foam tape.
I entered this over in Flickr in the Love Handmade Cards August Challenge of Anything Goes.
Here is the other card I made using this fun flower stamp set.
The background is a wash of watercolor on watercolor paper.
I stamped all the flowers and leaves on a piece of watercolor paper. I colored them using Derwent Intense pencils and a water pen. I cut out all of the flowers and leaves by hand and glued them to the background. The thick watercolor paper adds a nice dimension to it but it is hard to see in the photo. Maybe you can see the dimension in the photo below.
The sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder. The stamp used for the sentiment is Hero Arts set It’s Your Day.
