Whoa it’s already February and I haven’t caught up with the end of December cards or January. Slow goes it I guess.
I stamped the snowmen and colored them with Copics. The candy cane has some Glaze pen on it. The balls on the hats have glitter on them.
The snowflake has glitter on it and it is die cut.
The sentiment is from the stamp set.
It is hard to see but the red mat is a pretty shimmer paper.

Howdy! I have a couple cards that I did not post a ways back when I made them but here they are now. I bought some book pages from a fun Scrapbooking store in Wyoming a few years back. I made a couple backgrounds with them. They were reasonably priced and I can’t bring myself to rip apart a book.
For the background I put some Oxide Distress ink on my craft mat and sprayed it with some water. I then put the book page down on that. You have to be a little careful with this paper since it’s a bit delicate. Cutting with a paper trimmer doesn’t work that well. However, I got the ink on it with no problems.
I stamped the tree over the book page and added the die cut sentiment.
- Oxide Distress ink

This was a fun one since I love owls. I had the background done awhile ago and picked it up recently and thought I need to use it soon. So it was a good one for this cute owl.
The background is done using a stencil and ink blending over it with Oxide Distress inks.
The owl was stamped, colored with Copics and cut out by hand.
The sentiment is die cut and I colored it with Copics using the same colors that are on the birthday hat.

Entered in the July challenge Anything Goes at Love! – Handmade Cards in Flickr.
Also entered in the Simon Says Stamp challenge in Flickr of favorite technique. As far as my favorite technique there is a lot I like to do. On this card I did some favorites using a stencil and coloring with Copics. Funny thing is I did not like Copics when I first used them and now I have a bunch.
Entered over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge Anything Goes on their blog.
The inspiration from Merry Monday #232Kind of a different card but fun to make. You can’t really see but I stamped a plaid pattern with Versamark on the red background. I did not enter this to their challenge but I like playing along whether I make the challenge or not. I appreciate that they do this all year long. The coffee cup was from a set by Avocado Arts called Perfect Blend. I heat embossed the cup and colored the coffee with Copics. The two gingerbread people are from Tim Holtz set Cling Christmas 3. The sentiment is from a set by Art Impressions called Holly Jolly Set. The mat is cut with a Spellbinders die called Labels Seventeen (S5-025). I decorated them differently to have one be a boy and one a girl. I used some bling and enamel accents.
