Hero Arts Snowflake Swirl Background Hello Card

Here is a hello card I created for a package I was sending from a giveaway. I love this color combination. And… having Hero Arts and Tim Holtz on the same card… the best.

Hero Arts Snowflake Swirl Bold Prints

For the background I stamped with Hero Arts ink using the Hero Arts Snowflake Swirl Bold Prints stamp.

The snowflakes are die cut using Tim Holtz die set Mini Paper Snowflakes. I think I used a Shimmer pen on the snowflakes also.

The sentiment is die cut with Tim Holtz set Shadow Script #2.

Tim Holtz Funky Wreaths Fall Card

We continue with Fall cards.

Tim Holtz 3-D Impresslits Leaf

I guess I was really liking the honeycomb background. So here we are with another one. I used some Distress Oxide ink on this one too.

The wreaths are die cut along with the 3-D Impresslits embossing folders that cut out the leaves. I used Distress Crayon to highlight the leaf veins.

The sentiment was die cut from Metallic Kraft Stock.

Supplies:

  • Sizzix Tim Holtz Funky Wreaths die set
  • Sizzix Tim Holtz 3-D Impresslits Leaf embossing folder
  • Sizzix Tim Holtz 3-D Impresslits Oak Leaf embossing folder
  • Sizzix Tim Holtz Honeycomb embossing folder
  • Hello die

Hero Arts Autumn Wreath

And.. another Fall card for you.

Sizzix Tim Holtz Intertwine 3-D

For the wreath on my card I inked up the stamp with a couple different colors of green. Then I used the matching die to cut it out. For the images around the wreath I stamped them on different papers, some were ink smooshed paper, some solid color papers and some of the different images I colored with Copics.

The sentiment is die cut.

The background was created using a 3-D Texture Fades embossing folder and Distress Oxide inks.

Supplies:

  • Hero Arts Autumn Wreath and matching dies
  • Sizzix Tim Holtz Intertwine 3-D Texture Fades embossing folder
  • Lawn Fawn Scripty Hello die
  • Distress Oxide Ink
  • Copic Markers

Tim Holtz 3-D Impresslits Leaves

I made a few Fall cards to send out and here is one of them. I just love leaves and Fall colors.

Tim Holtz Lumberjack stamp

For the background I used Distress Oxide ink and then stamped over that with the Lumberjack stamp by Tim Holtz.

I die cut a wreath. The leaves are cut and textured using a 3-D Impresslits embossing folder. Some of the leaves were cut from paper with Distress Mica Spray Stains on them and some cut from the crackle looking paper by Tim Holtz that was out quite some time ago. I also highlighted the veins on the leaves using Distress Crayons.

The sentiment was die cut.

  • Sizzix Tim Holtz 3-D Impresslits Oak Leaf

Tim Holtz Theodore

Today I have a little card that has nothing to do with Christmas. I told a friend I would make her a bear card knowing that I would use this die set. It was assembled for many months and then I finally put it all together.

Sizzix Tim Holtz Honeycomb Embossing Folder

The background was created using Distress Oxide ink, an embossing folder and some Glossy Accents. I decided to highlight a few hexagons which gives the look of shiny honey.

The bee is stamped.

The flower is die cut along with oh so cute Theodore the bear.

Entered in the Love Handmade Cards December Challenge.

Supplies:

  • Sizzix Tim Holtz Honeycomb embossing folder
  • Glossy Accents
  • Distress Oxide ink
  • Sizzix Tim Holtz Theodore Colorize die
  • Sizzix Tim Holtz Flower Jar die set

Hero Arts Merry Christmas Cover Plate

And surprise another Christmas card.

Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink

To start the card I took a panel that I made quite awhile back after a Tim Holtz demo. You put some alcohol ink on a Yupo panel and then stand the panel upright and douse it with alcohol and let it run down.

The next step.. easy. I die cut the cover plate and glued it to the alcohol ink panel. Done!

Supplies:

  • Hero Arts Merry Christmas Cover Plate
  • Tim Holtz alcohol ink

Tim Holtz Seasonal Sketch Christmas Card

Here we go with the December cards. A month that gets a little busy… I created this using a sketch from Build Your Holiday Stash Cardmakers group in Facebook.

For the background I used a couple paper pads and some Metallic Kraft Stock.

The flower was created by using a Tim Holtz die.

Supplies:

  • Sizzix Tim Holtz Seasonal Sketch die set
  • Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft Cardstock

Tim Holtz Leaf Print Die Cutting

Hello! Since I ran out of time making Thanksgiving cards I made a few Fall cards. For this card I was inspired by Kath Stewart’s card here. She is one of Tim Holtz designers and her projects often catch my eye.

Tim Holtz Leaf Print

For the background I created a smooshed Distress Ink panel. I stamped on it using the Floral Outlines stamp and the Ledger Script stamp by Tim Holtz. I also stuck a couple pieces of washi tape on it which I very rarely do. Then I cut out just the whole leaf without the detail from the background panel.

For the leaves I cut them out of panels I made with Distress Inks and Mica Stains by Tim Holtz. I also used some good old brown cardstock. Some of the leaves have pieces inlaid and on some I cut out the detailed outline/veining and glued it on top of a whole leaf I cut out. Hope that made sense. After putting the leaves together I inlaid them in the background panel.

The sentiment is stamped.

Supplies

  • Sizzix Tim Holtz Leaf Print die set
  • Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Ledger Script stamp
  • Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Floral Outlines stamp
  • Tim Holtz washi tape
  • Distress Oxide Inks
  • Distress Mica Stains
  • Hero Arts Autumn stamp set

Tim Holtz Holiday Collage II

Here is a little Christmas card for you using an old school wood block Tim Holtz stamp. I created it for the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Hop located here. I like being part of this group and I love seeing all the cards people post.

This Santa panel has been waiting to become a card for quite awhile.

I ink smooshed both Oxide Distress ink and Distress ink on a panel. Then I used that wood block stamp to stamp the collage Santa image. The image is raised up with foam tape.

Finally I found some paper that I liked for the background. I like the old school look of that black paper. I normally don’t use much black on Christmas cards but I really like the pattern on this one.

I was struggling some trying to find a little something more to add to the card. I finally decided on some snowflakes. Just a little bit. I used some dies to cut out the snowflakes from some Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft-Stock paper.

Supplies:

  • Sizzix Tim Holtz Mini Paper Snowflakes
  • Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Holiday Collage II wood block stamp
  • Distress Ink
  • Distress Oxide Ink
  • Tim Holtz Christmas/Noel paper pad
  • Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft-Stock paper

Tim Holtz Milk Cap Christmas Decor

Howdy! I am finally getting around to posting a Tim Holtz project I started last year and then finished the beginning of September this year. You know you just don’t want to rush these things. I made a project just like Tami B who is one of the makers for Tim Holtz. Here is a link to her project. Here is her creation. I loved it so much I made one!

Here is my take on it. The fun thing is I found a milk cap from a city I lived right next to when I was about 8 years old. I also had cousins that lived there until very recently.

Not the most vibrant picture….

For the frame I used a Tim Holtz frame that I painted with Distress paint and highlighted with crayon. For the background frame piece I glued on a piece of paper from the Christmas Noel paper pad. To highlight the metal piece which says Merry Christmas I used a Distress Crayon.
To start the tree I put some Distress Crackle Paint on the milk caps. If I did this again I might skip doing that. After gluing them to the frame base I sprayed over them with Resist Spray lightly and dusted with Clear Rock Candy Glitter.  Then I added the metal decor pieces that I enhanced with Distress Crayons and the optical lens’.
Here is another photo of the piece that shows some of the glitter.
