Today’s theme for the Scramble 133, which was a 24 hour Scramble, was to create some journaling cards. Thanks so much to Cindy for stepping up since nobody signed up for hosting the challenge. I appreciate that a lot because I love to do these.
I decided to create some journaling cards for a scrapbook type thing that I am going to create for my bird and butterfly photos. I love seeing them and I love taking pictures of them. I also like finding out what they are.
I used many different Hero Arts sets to create my journaling cards.
Hero Arts Stamps
Travel (AC031) – The lines for journaling
Antique Engravings (CL383) – birds
Delicate Leaf Clusters (CL477) – leaves & tiny dragonfly
Antique Flowers & Butterflies – (657773) – butterflies
Technique Tuesday – For the Record set – journaling lines on watercolor journal card
Ink for leaves and birds Quick Quotes because I wanted a lighter stamped look.
For the butterflies I colored them with Memento pens and then stamped.
I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paints for the one background.
All of the journaling lines were stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.
After I made these I decided the two white ones needed to be a little less white so I used some chalk type ink and lightly went over them directly with the ink pad.
I realized today that putting up a rust colored sail shade on my patio messed up my card photo area. The light that comes in the patio window now has a reddish tint. Time to find a new photo spot.
