Die Cutting with Hero Arts Looking Glass Canyon Lands

I have a couple of cards to show you that I made using one of the Looking Glass dies by Hero Arts. I made Fathers Day cards for my Dad and hubby. They are similar but I am one that cannot make the exact same card twice or more for the most part.

This one I made for my Dad and it was the first time using the die. The tree cuts out with the square opening. It is colored with a Copic marker. The mountains are cut from a panel that I had around with Distress ink smooshing on it. The grass I colored with some Distress ink. The grass is part of a die that cuts out a square but I cut the grass strip off of the square. The sky I ink blended using Distress ink.

On the kraft surrounding the scene I stamped with Versamark. It is very hard to see that.

The sentiment is heat embossed.

Hero Arts Celebrate Everyday

This one I made for my hubby. I did the same coloring the tree, grass, mountains. The sky is different as you can see and I added the birds to this. When I stamped on the kraft cardstock surrounding the scene I used some Distress Oxide ink this time so it would show up better and also a different background stamp.

The sentiment is heat embossed on this one also.

I entered this one over at Love Handmade Cards in Flickr for the June Challenge.

Also entered over at the Hero Arts Stay Crafty Challenge For The Guys.
