Hero Arts Dragonfly Die Card Series

Hello! I have a card today that I created for the Hero Arts Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge. The theme this time is friendship.

Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages

To  make this card I selected a few panel pieces that I made some time ago. The background and the dragonfly are from these panels.

The background is ink smooshing on watercolor paper. I’m not sure what inks I used.

The dragonfly shadow is die cut from black paper. The details of the butterfly is die cut from a Yupo alcohol ink panel where I used a couple Pearl Alcohol inks.

The sentiment is stamped using a Hero Arts set called Everyday Messages.

After I made the first card I kept rolling. I saved all the little bits from the dragonfly that were die cut. I decided to use those for an inlaid look.

Hero Arts Honeycomb Stencil

I entered this one over at the August Challenge at Love Handmade Cards in Flickr.

The background panel was one that I had laying around.  I inked thru a stencil for this.

Like I mentioned I saved all the pieces and cut out a black dragonfly to put all the pieces back into. Of course I lost a couple of pieces but I still had the alcohol ink paper so I cut those out again.

The sentiment is die cut.

And here is one more. I usually don’t really work this way but I got the ideas and went with it. I got a lot of mileage out of that one alcohol ink panel.

This background I also did some time ago. It looks like what I did is have some ink on the stencil and spritzed it and then printed with the stencil.

This time for the dragonfly I cut the shadow from that alcohol ink panel and as you can see the detailed part from black paper.

The sentiment is die cut.
