Hello and how are you? Me ok. I think I am getting tired of the state of the world today.
Today I have a card I created for the Hero Arts Fanatics Challenge in Facebook. Libby threw out the idea to make cards with your My Monthly Hero kits. She is actually giving out some prizes from her stash! The three she came up with are your first kit, your favorite kit and one from the kit you have used the least.
Today I have my first kit which is also the first kit Hero Arts released. It was released in October 2015 and it is the Poinsettia Color Layering kit.
First a funny little fact. I was walking around my backyard looking for a place to take my card photo. This is on the bottom part of my old fence on the hill in my backyard. I like the wood backgrounds for the cards.
Now on to the card. The background is heat embossed using a background stamp and brass embossing powder. I had another background first but it was not working. You know how that goes.
For the flowers and leaves I did the layered stamping with my Misti. It seems a little easier now than when I first got the set. I die cut the flowers and leaves with the dies that came with the kit. In the center of the flowers I added those super tiny ball things.
The sentiment is from the same kit and heat embossed in the same embossing powder. The banner was die cut.
