Hero Arts July 2017 My Monthly Hero Diecutting

I’m here today with a card I created for the Facebook Hero Arts January 2020 Scramble. To explain a little further you use Hero Arts products to create a card in 90 minutes. You choose your own time to create but it needs to be done by the end time/date. There is a theme along with it also. A fun low pressure thing to do. I really appreciate that Cindy got this going again. The Hero Arts Scrambles are special to me because they got me very interested in Hero Arts, which is a great company, and to really dive into cardmaking. Here is the link to the group but it is private so you just need to ask to participate if you are interested. https://www.facebook.com/groups/375732203141407/?ref=group_header

Hero Arts Honeycomb Stencil

To start off I used the Hero Arts Honeycomb stencil and inked through that. I then used a deckled rectangle die to cut out the background for the watering can.

Next I stamped and die cut the flower bouquet, watering can and butterfly. The butterfly has a little shimmer coloring on it. I colored them with Copics and glued them over the rectangle.

I die cut the sentiment banner and stamped the sentiment.

  1. Very pretty card, Karen! What was the theme this month? I think I’ll check it out – I’ve been wanting to find some monthly challenges – I used to participate a lot when I scrapbooked 🙂 TFS!

    1. Thanks Dori! This particular challenge isn’t really monthly. It used to be in Flickr and Cindy started it back up in Facebook. There are not any prizes but more just to have fun creating with our Hero Arts products. This time it was a sketch from the blog casethissketch. We will be taking turns coming up with a theme and randomly having them.
