National Coffee Day Blog Hop & Giveaway

Guess what day it is! Yes it is National Coffee Day and there is a hop to go along with it. The hop begins at the a2z Scrapbooking blog. The design team has cards for you to check out and there are several giveaways. There is also some great bargains over at a2z.

Here is the coffee card I made for this fun hop. And me.. yes I love coffee. I have a coffee bean roaster and a grinder. Sometimes I roast my own beans. I only drink one cup a day and I want some good coffee. I think there will be an afternoon decaf going on today!

To create the background I used the Hero Arts Holiday Petals & Leaves stamp set. I took all the little leaves and put them on one block and stamped on the kraft paper with Versamark.

The coffee cups are from a couple different digital sets that are available in the a2z Scrapbooking Etsy shop. The digital kits that I used are Hero Arts Kitchen Silhouettes, Hero Arts Caffeine Fix and Sugartree Stamps Hug In a Mug. I listed these as they go across the card from left to right. I colored the mugs with Copics. The leaf on the one mug is from the background stamp that I colored with a Gelly Roll pen and cut out. The sleeve and the heart on the other mugs were part of the images. I did all of the gold accenting with a gold metallic Gelly Roll pen and I love that thing.

The multi color strip is alcohol ink on regular paper. Kind of funny, it is some piece of paper my husband grabbed at a hotel and gave to me. It is thick and has a nice texture. It is hard to see in the photo but there is some gold alcohol ink on there too.

The sentiment is die cut twice for a bit of dimension.
