Here’s a couple things I created around Christmas mostly for gift giving. The Thank You I forgot what that was for. They are all kind of quick and sometimes these are the most fun since you can just make them any old way and are not that worried about how great it comes out or that you are creating for many to see.
So this one was for a gift to my son. We have a great park system called East Bay Regional Park District. It is actually the model for many park systems around the country. Anyway.. we love them all. Nice hiking at pretty much all of them. A few have lakes or creeks and just all around fun to be in. So we got my son a membership for Christmas. It helps the parks and gets him in the ones that charge without having to pay. He just got a mountain bike so we had one place in mind he might like to take his mountain bike to start getting used to it. I printed the map of all the parks from their website along with the logo type thing. I think that leaf is a Hero Arts stamp that is similar to their logo leaf. I inked around the edges with the same green ink as the leaf.
This was for my Dad and his girlfriend. My husband found some tickets to a musical near where they live. I had to dress it up so I used snowflake stamp set (Penny Black Snowbursts) and stamped with silver pigment ink and a blue ink. For the sentiment (Hero Arts Chalkboard Messages CG619) I heat embossed white over a pretty blue paper. All this was the envelope which also said do not open until Christmas. For the information about the musical I cut and paste information from an email and printed that. Then I stamped all over the background with Versamark ink and a snowflake stamp. After that I dusted over it with Perfect Pearls. Then I added a few die cut snowflakes.
For this I had stamped these tulips (Hero Arts Newspaper Tulips K5576) some time ago by coloring with markers on the stamp I think and maybe spritzing it a bit before stamping. I think it was on watercolor paper. Then I just finished it off by stamping the sentiment.
