The challenge for Merry Monday #218 was to create a card with plaid on it. The card on the left is the card I submitted to Merry Monday here.
I created my background by stamping twice with a plaid stamp from Stampin Up. I stamped first with a Simon Says Stamp red ink and then with Delicata Gold pigment ink slightly off set. The green shape that the trees are on is cut with a Spellbinders die called Curved Rectangles (S5-006). The greeting is from Hero Arts set Peace & Joy (CL880) and embossed with red powder which didn’t come out to red on that dark green paper. The trees are from Hero Arts set Family & Friends (CL803) and stamped with Delicata Gold pigment ink. I submitted my card at the last minute and thought it needed a bit more but no time left. So.. I added some rhinestones to the trees.
Well, with my love of shiny stuff, you know I like the bling on the trees version! Great use of the plaid too.
