My hubs family runs a coffee business. They buy green coffee beans and roast them. They sell at a few Farmers Markets and have some of their coffee at cafes. It is a family affair. My hubs brother-in-law does have a full time job but he loves the coffee business and works at it too. Their coffee is Zolo Coffee Roasters. So what does that have to do with me?? They are very kind to give us green coffee beans. I roast them in a small home roaster. They have a blend they call Farmhouse French which is the best. It is a little side hobby for me just roasting for our use. So.. I made this card for our nephew to thank him for the beans.
My card was inspired by this card from The Ton.
For the front of my card I stamped the top of the coffee cups and embossed with white embossing powder. The stamps for the coffee cup and latte art are from The Ton set Hug in a Mug. I colored in the coffee and handle with Gansai Tambi watercolor paint which I love using. When that was dry I stamped the latte art using Hero Arts white pigment ink. For the center coffee cup I stamped the sentiment using brown embossing powder. The sentiment is from an Avery Elle set called All Squared Up. I also created a second center cup and popped that up with foam tape. I did some shadowing kind of with watercolor. I have not tried that much at all. It is a bit heavy in the left lower corner but that is where the coffee spilled. Then I splattered a bit after masking off the cups.
For the inside I used a a cup from a The Ton set called Tea Party. I customized the cup by embossing Zolo. Considering I only had one o letter and couldn’t really see the letters I stamped first with Versamark it came out pretty good. The cup is painted with watercolors and the steam coming out is from a Stampin Up set from many years ago.
