Today’s Scramble was hosted by Chark. The theme was mix it up, meaning use stamps and stencils from different sets and/or wood stamps. I managed to use 3 different sets and a stencil.
For the background I used the Hero Arts stencil Long Leaves (SA062) and sprayed over it with Heidi Swapp spray in teal.
I started out stamping the flowers first and then trying to watercolor paint with Gansi Tambi watercolor paints but the black ink wasn’t drying fast enough and I got mud color. So I wet the watercolor paper first then laid on the color. I helped the drying along with a heat gun. Then I stamped over the watercolor areas. I hand cut all of the flowers. The My Monthly Hero flowers have dies to match but I wasn’t sure if you get the border around the edge and I didn’t want that for this card. For the flowers I used the two different sets My Monthly Hero March 2016 and Color Me Flowers (CG133). The flowers are only glued in the middle and I tried to shape them some which is hard to see in the photo. The two smallest flowers have pop dots under them.
For the greeting I used Hero Arts Set It’s Your Day (CL661).
